Destiny Community Services (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal information we collect from participants, families, carers, employees, and visitors to our website. As a registered NDIS provider, we are bound by the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the NDIS Practice Standards.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect your personal information, including sensitive and health information.

- The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as required

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. NDIS records are retained for a minimum of 7 years after the last service delivery, in accordance with Australian record-keeping requirements.

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Access your personal information held by us (APP 12)
- Request correction of inaccurate, out-of-date, or incomplete information (APP 13)
- Withdraw consent for the collection or use of your information at any time
- Make a complaint if you believe your privacy has been breached

7. Cross-Border Disclosure
We do not routinely transfer personal information outside Australia. In the limited circumstances where this may occur (for example, through cloud-based software providers with overseas servers), we take reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient handles your information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles, as required by APP 8.
8. Website Analytics and Cookies
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised data about website traffic, including pages visited, time on site, device type, and general geographic location (city-level, not individual addresses). - We do not use AI to make decisions about participant eligibility, service delivery, or support planning
- We do not use AI chatbots that collect or process participant personal information
- We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or significant effects on individuals
- We do not input participant names, plan details, or personal information into any AI system
- We do not use facial recognition, biometric data processing, or behavioural profiling
If our use of AI technology changes in the future, we will update this policy and notify affected individuals where appropriate.
